Assistant Festival Coordinator
The International Wildlife Film Festival, headquartered in Missoula, Montana, and one of the most prestigious and important wildlife film festivals in the world is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Festival Coordinator. This position will work closely with current festival staff in preparation for taking over the Festival Coordinator position after May 2012 when our current Coordinator will be leaving.
The Assistant Coordinator will work directly with the Festival Director to develop, grow, expand and enhance the international outreach and capacity of the International Media Center's two annual film festivals, IWFF which is held every spring and Montana CINE which is held every fall. CINE films focus on environmental, cultural, and social/political issues and major global topics. IWFF of course has a focus on wildlife, habitat, the environment, conservation and human interactions with wildlife.
Qualifications include: Background in film, video, or related media experience; knowledge of global environmental issues and wildlife conservation; technical savvy; excellent Mac computer skills, strong communications, interpersonal and people abilities; creativity, and the ability to take initiative and work independently while also being able to work as part of a team and take direction. Follow through is vital. Contacts and networking abilities are a plus. The individual hired for this position may also be involved in some of our media/educational outreach activities.

Education Coordinator (1/2 time position*)
The International Wildlife Media Center & Film Festivals is currently seeking a permanent, half time Education Coordinator. Position takes place at the Roxy Theater.
This position is an integral part of the year-round organization, with multiple responsibilities and varied duties. The individual selected for this position will be involved in both year round programs of the organization as well as the two annual film festivals - IWFF in the spring and Montana CINE during the fall.
*At certain times of the year this position is full time+ especially during film festivals
Key Responsibilities:
IWFF & CINE Film Festivals:
Coordination of Film Festivals/School Matinee Programs involving:
• Outreach to teachers and schools
• Coordinate Preliminary Judging Panels for Youth-Audience Film Entries
• Lead/Supervise judging panels comprised of teachers, parents & students
• Assist with selection of matinee films
• Recruitment and Supervision of Education Interns
• Supervise development of Education Packets tied to award-winning films
WildFest & KWAC (Kid’s Wildlife Art Club) Programs:
1.Coordinate WildFest in Caras Park
2. Outreach to organizations and groups for WildFest
3. Coordinate production and display of wildlife art leading up to Wildlife Film Fest
4. Work with and arrange for local businesses to display KWAC artwork
After-School, Out of School & Summer Programs:
• Coordination of After-School Programs (Kids Club Safari/Teen Film Workshops)
• Coordinate and Supervise After-School Filmmaking Program with Flagship
• Coordinate and Develop Special Film Field Trips & Screenings throughout the year
• Coordinate and Supervise Summer Wildlife & Documentary Film Camps
Qualifications:
• Background/knowledge of wildlife or related type of education/curriculum background
• Excellent Communications (written & verbal) & Interpersonal Skills
• Computer literate (preferably with Macs)
• Knowledge of film, media, basic camera and editing software helpful but not mandatory
• Ideal candidate will be well-organized, flexible; reliable with high degree of maturity
• Capable of handling multiple tasks in an occasionally very fast paced environment
• Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision yet capable of taking guidance, working closely with a supervisor and other staff as part of a team
