The Tarkio Retreat-
Forging New Partnerships in Media & Conservation
These working groups, through intimate and relaxed workshops and social interaction in a magnificent natural setting, address and explore new ways of building partnerships and creating successful collaborations.
The name Tarkio comes from an old Indian term meaning tree, growing from a seed. This name was adopted by the Retreat because the first gathering was held in an area of western Montana known as Tarkio.
