The 8th Annual Montana CINE International Film Festival is October 17-23, 2011 in Missoula, Montana.
All Film Screenings are held at the beautiful and historic Roxy Theater, one of the oldest theaters in Montana completely renovated and brought up to date in the past few years. With HD Projection and Surround Sound capabilities, the viewing experience as well as the seminars, panel discussions and workshops held during CINE are cutting edge.
The Montana CINE International Film Festival has a special focus on
Films that create dialogue on critical and contemporary issues.
These issues range from cultural topics to issues of native and indigenous peoples. Films focus on food, agriculture, land use, water, energy, environment, climate change and hunting and conservation; outdoor recreation, population and health, among others.
The mission of CINE is to complete a global picture of our world through film and through dialogue; to address these issues and topics in roundtable and vital public discussions. Prominent speakers, presenters, filmmakers, and general audiences including hundreds of students, attend and participate in all aspects of the CINE International Film Festival.
