Entry Categories

  • ANIMATION - $60
    A program produced by traditional animation techniques, CGI, or other related production methods (must be at least 50% animation)

  • OUTDOOR CULTURE - $60
    Programs about any outdoor sport or recreation activity. For example, skiing, climbing, fishing, hunting, etc.

  • CULTURAL ISSUES - $75
    Program which explores the way of life of a people/culture, their environment, social structure, way of thinking, feeling, and/or belief system, etc.

  • HUMAN-NATURE INTERACTIONS -$60
    Program that emphasizes social, cultural, economic, or spiritual aspects of people and their relationship with nature

  • TELEVISION PROGRAM -$75
    A television program produced specifically for broadcast on commercial or public television. Program can be a one-off production or part of an ongoing television series
    o A. Budget up to $250,000
    o B. Budget of $250,000-$500,000
    o C. Budget of $500,000+
    (Please note on your entry the appropriate budget category)

  • CHILDREN'S PROGRAM -$60
    Program produced specifically for youth audience. Information and presentation should be on a young person's comprehension level

  • NEWS STORY - $60
    Program of limited length shown as a news segment on its own or as part of a News Special, News Magazine, or part of a regularly scheduled News Broadcast; Includes investigative and informative programs

  • INDEPENDENT - $60
    Made by an independent producer or production house -- Not by or on contract to any major broadcaster

  • NON-BROADCAST PROGRAM - $60
    Program produced by or for a museum, zoo, aquarium, school, organization, or company for use as a promotional piece, research presentation, informational or educational tool. Programs may include hunting, fishing, teaching/ training, and/or other special topics, including programs for home-video sale

  • AMATEUR - $35
    Program made without professional experience; amateur producers may receive professional advice or guidance, but the professional(s) must not have played any major role in the production

  • NEWCOMER - $60
    Produced by a person or team who are newly established in the filmmaking field and are no longer amateurs

  • YOUTH GROUP - $25
    Program produced by a youth group or individual under the guidance or supervision of an established organization or academic institution
    o A. Ages 13 and under
    o B. Ages over 13

  • THEATRICAL RELEASE - $150
    Feature or documentary produced for theatrical release (submission must be in a video format only please, no 35mm film)
