Golden Eagles and the Kazakh Hunters (2006, 52 min)
Falconry spread throughout Central Asia thousands of years ago, and the technique remains widespread today in Ulgii Province, thanks to the efforts of the nomadic Kazakh people. The traditional hunting companion of the Kazakhs is not the hawk but the giant golden eagle. The Golden Eagle Festival draws more than 60 hunters, each seeking to demonstrate his skill in the traditional hunting method. The program follows Manai, a two-time champion of the festival, as he teaches his son, Asylbek, the technique and attitude required of a competent eagle hunter. We see how eagles are captured and trained for hunting, and also witness the bond that grows between a boy and his father as they preserve the nomadic way of life on the steppes.

Small Talk Diaries: Changelings (2008, 14 min)
Changelings: Changing your appearance doesn't change who you are, but might help you make friends. Some very ugly insects talk us through the tricky business of shedding their skin to become something utterly different and spectacular, proving that beauty is often no more than skin deep. The bluebottle fly astounds us with his rapid transformation from yucky maggot to full blown blowfly - by inflating his head like a balloon. The dragonfly larva transforms from a creepy underwater predator to "king of the skies". Meanwhile the roach is disappointed that she doesn't get such a complete makeover as all the other characters in the show.

B is for Bunch (2008, 16 min)
B is for Bunch not only promotes an appreciation of African wildlife and their habitats, but it brings attention to a group of words called "collective nouns." With a focus on four to eight year olds, our narrator Logan Smith, age 7, adds humor and information as she introduces animal groups such as a "crash" of rhinos and a "pride of lions." In addition, there is music appropriate to the age as well. In fact preschoolers will likely want to jump up and dance as we journey through this adventure. In some cases we've blended wild animals with captive animals in order to weave a more complete story.

White Falcon, White Wolf (2008, 50 min)- Shown in HD!
NATURE: White Falcon, White Wolf follows the intimate and surprising dramas of a pack of white wolves and a pair of stunning white falcons as they both struggle to raise families during a short summer on a remote island in the High Arctic. It's a new breeding season; the ice and snow which has blanketed the island for the last nine months is melting. Last season, the wolves had
just three cubs, and the falcons failed to rear any young. What might happen this year - our wolf is underground in a den, and our falcon is on eggs. What might make the difference? At times this film is moving - a young wolf gets it all wrong. This incredible story exposes the fragility of the ecosystem.
